ABOUT US
Welcome to Villa Bollacasa
Villa Bollacasa is located in Comeglians in the Carnia Region of Friuli. Carnia is a region defined by rivers and their valleys: Fella, But, Degano and Pesarina. They are born in the high mountains of the Alps and feed the Tagliamento, and then to the Adriatic Sea.
Villa Bollacasa is in the Val Degano at the midpoint between its source and the Tagliamento. It’s ideally located to explore the upstream and downstream of the Degano Valley. It also offers access to the Val Pesarina, which leads you deep into the Dolomites and Cadore. You can also ascend to Ravascletto and descend to the valley of the But.
You can hike, bike, rock climb or simply sunbathe or relax under trees of its spacious lawn. The hikes can be hard or easy, the bike rides hard, strenuous, e.g. the Zoncolan or gentle through the woods. You can rock climb on dolomite or granite. You can stay overnight in one of the numerous mountain huts, or do daylong loop hikes, like around Monte Arvenis or Col Gentile. You can visit alpine lakes: Bordaglia, Volaia or dip your feet in the cool water of the Degano, next to Villa Bollacasa. You can go mushroom hunting in late Summer and early Fall, or look for edelweiss among the rocks.
You are away from heavily traveled tourist routes, you can find peace, kindness and enjoy the hospitality of the local population. You can sample local cuisine with typical local dishes like frico, cjarsons, locally cured meats, rustic savory pies. The area abounds with trattorie and farmhouses offering authentic local cuisine, craft beers and wines from Friuli.
Villa Bollacasa is a two-story house designed to welcome you with comfort in a warm, family-friendly atmosphere.
- First Floor: Two double bedrooms, one twin room, two bathrooms, a spacious kitchen fully equipped to prepare typical local dishes or your favorite recipes, and a living room in Carnic style, enhanced by an old Bavarian wood stove of glazed tiles, to help you relax in the evenings.
From the living room, you can access a large terrace, perfect for outdoor dining, relaxing moments or convivial barbecue, equipped with a modern grill. The terrace overlooks a lawn of over two thousand square meters, a green oasis ideal for children to play, sunbathe, or admire the mountain landscape. - Basement:Â A cellar for storing food and local wines at a cool temperature, a bathroom with a shower, and a two door garage, with ample space for your cars or sports equipment.

"I wanted to discover Carnia, and I found a true paradise: a charming place, still untouched and authentic. The villa exceeded all expectations: welcoming, elegant, and surrounded by a vast park where I could read a book in the shade of large trees while my children played in complete safety. An unforgettable experience."
